1998 Started in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Freight in Time was founded in September of 1998 by Shah.
1998 Expanded to Nairobi, Kenya
Throughout the mid to late 1998, Freight in Time expanded its core territory to kenya, growing both organically and through acquisition; as well as offering its customers over-the-road truckload and volume LTL services. By 1999, Freight in Time was operating out of 10 terminals and had finished completion of its current corporate headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. It was at this time Freight in Time broadened its services by unveiling a non-asset based Logistics division to offer customers 50 state capability through a strategic partner network.
2003 Expanded its core teritorry to Uganda
In 2003, Freight in Time announced its intentions to expand its operations to Uganda to offer both customer bases an unmatched network of asset and non-asset based services. The customer centric philosophies that enlarged Freightin Time serves as a backbone of its organic growth, which continues to evolve today.
2010 Expanded to Burundi
Understanding the critical link in the customer supply chain, Freight in Time entered the burundi market late in 2010. This breakthrough enabled Freight in Time customers the ability to track and trace their freight in real time on the company website; as well as providing up to the minute critical data events via email and electronic data interchange (EDI).
2010 Went regional 2017
In 2011, 2013, 2016 & 2017
Freight in Time ventured into Rwanda & South sudan, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Somalia & Comoros markets respectively.
